Joanne Hunter is an experienced English-language senior reporter and feature writer, having worked for years with the packaging industry press in the UK before moving to Brussels in June 2006. Here she reports and writes about sustainable supply chains in forest products, retail and packaging, and acts as editor on special projects for associations in the same sectors.
In the first 14 years of her journalistic career, she worked as a freelance feature writer for the SE England regional press, focusing on business and lifestyles, and also covered airports, holiday parks and sports and leisure centres and other tourism-related subjects.
Joanne has contacts across a wide range of industry sectors and disciplines at the European and Member State levels. She is particularly versed in forest products (pulp, paper, board), packaging materials and packaging chains, sustainability and efficient transport and retail supply chains.
Other relevant subjects include labels and labelling, freight transportation, human nutrition, health and wellbeing, the performing arts, and leisure and travel.
