Dr Badrudin Amershi

Badrudin Amershi has more than 25 years of experience of cultural, economic and social issues in the international context. He is an experienced trainer and consultant on issues of intercultural communication and organisation development, negotiations and management of joint ventures, with in-depth knowledge and experience of European as well as Dr Badrudin Amershi Asian and African (East and Southern African) cultures.

Born in Kenya of Indian origin, Dr. Amershi has lived and worked in Europe/Germany since the 1970s. He is a graduate of the University of Heidelberg where he attained his Masters (Communication and Self-organising Systems). He also holds a PhD in development economics.

He has taught at the University of Heidelberg and at the University of Maryland (European Division) and has worked as Department Head and Project Manager in Asia and Africa for various public and private organisations.

In 1994, Dr. Amershi established his own consulting business (CPO-Consulting, Project Planning and Organisation Development), providing consultation and training to top management of many organisations: BASF, DaimlerChrysler, Munich Reinsurance, Hypo-Vereinsbank, IKM Institut (Zürich), etc. Recently he has helped German local government authorities train middle and upper level staff in intercultural communications and mediation.
