Philip  Hunt

With years of experience working as journalist, writer, editor and press officer for many different organisations, Philip Hunt has developed a wide knowledge of the needs of organisations in both the commercial and public sector. Most recently he was editor-in-chief for the European Commission’s IST Results online web service for the IST programme, and with his knowledge of EU research and development policy has written materials for the FP7 programme, the launch of the new European Research Council (ERC), and the Joint Research Centre.

Previous work has included assignments such as managing internal communications between European offices and US headquarters for a large pharmaceutical, and organising press communications for a Brussels-based industry association in the transport sector. He has provided communication services to multinational clients including names such as Dow Corning, Eli Lilly, Lucent Technologies, Management Centre Europe, Mastercard, Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (RIVM), Philips and SWIFT.

Philip also possesses a wide range of contacts in the Brussels press world, and organises and promotes seminars for the press of all kinds, as well as professional writing workshops for budding journalists and PR practitioners.
