Renata Schmit Ljunggren

Born in Croatia, raised in Germany and now running her own consultancy in the Czech Republic, Renata Schmit has extensive experience of advising on company strategy and operations. A graduate of the University of Chicago business school, with degrees in Economics and Russian from the University of Tübingen, she has worked on prRenata Schmit Ljunggren ojects in Germany, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Russia and Ukraine. Her specialities are organisational design, HR management and training.

Renata started her career as a research assistant and consultant in the executive search field in Germany, and then joined the Behrendt, Tamm & Partners consultancy working on privatisation projects in Moscow and St Petersburg, Russia, and Kharkhov, Ukraine. In 1994 she joined the KPMG organisation, managing the consultancy’s Europe-wide

public institutions business. She started her own business, EPR Consulting, in Prague in 1999. Her work has included developing a new organisation structure for the Stockholm School of Economics, advising on HR management to a Czech investment fund with interests in the health and tourism sectors, and developing compensation and performance evaluation schemes for companies in the UK, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

With German and Croatian mother-tongues and speaking fluent English, French and Russian, Renata has worked with clients and audiences in most countries of Europe, east and west, as well as in Russia and Ukraine. She has been a guest lecturer at the Solvay Business School in Brussels and is a member of the advisory board of the CMC Graduate School of Business in Prague.
